Trash & Recycling Schedule Update

Due to expected impacts from Hurricane Milton, garbage collection will be suspended on Wednesday, Oct. 9.  Public Works – Sanitation has tentatively rescheduled the Wednesday garbage route for Friday, Oct. 11. This pick-up will be depending upon the effects of Hurricane Milton. Recycling pick-up will be suspended on Thursday, Oct. 10, and Friday, Oct. 11. Please hold your recycling until the next scheduled pick-up on Thursday, Oct. 17, and Friday, Oct. 18.

Debris removal from Hurricane Helene has been delayed. If residents have debris sitting curbside, please secure the loose debris. Debris can be secured by bundling vegetative debris with twine, utilizing a secure tarp, or by moving the debris back into a secure location on private property.

Residents should also take the time to secure their homes. Be prepared for multiple days without utility services, including electrical, water, and sewer.

- Water Leaks (south of SR-580)
- Sanitary Sewer Back-Ups and Lift Station Alarms
- Low Hanging Limbs (over City roadways/sidewalks)
- Downed Trees blocking City roadways/sidewalks
- Stormwater Drainage Issues Flooding
- Downed City Street Signs
