Holiday Sanitation Schedule

Thanksgiving Day observed falls on Thursday, Wednesday's yard waste collection will be suspended this week. Thursday's recycling will be collected on Wednesday.

Holiday Fire Safety Tips

Lights
Before decorating the exterior or Christmas tree, read the manufacturer’s instructions to avoid overloading your system.

Inspect your holiday lights for signs of fraying, pinched wires, or other indicators they are ready to be retired.

Christmas Trees
Water Christmas tree every day and as needed to prevent fires.

Maintain a 3-foot buffer from fireplaces, space heaters, or other heat sources, never leave decorative lighting unattended.

Discard tree right after the holidays.

Candles
Keep open candles in stable holders, away from potential combustibles, and snuff them when leaving the room. Consider using battery-operated flameless candles.
