Six Word Memoir Contest


April 1 - April 21


We are celebrating 100 years of Safety Harbor with a Six Words Writing Contest! In conjunction with the City’s centennial, the theme for the contest is: What brought you to Safety Harbor? Explain how you came to live in the ‘The Jewel of Tampa Bay’ in six descriptive words. For example: Cold blooded. Needed warmth. Found quaint. Contest is open to all ages, with a limit of two entries per person. Local restaurant gift cards, sponsored by the Friends of the Safety Harbor Library, will be awarded to the top three entries. (1st place - $75, 2nd place - $50, 3rd place - $25.) Winners will be announced during the Library's 8th Annual Poetry Celebration on April 27 at 6:00 pm. Click here to enter!

The Players of Safety Harbor will be performing the comedy Blithe Spirit, written by Noel Coward and presented by special arrangement with Samuel French. Ticket donation cost is $10, with proceeds benefiting the Safety Harbor Library Foundation.
